British Pie Week

1st March, the official start to British Pie Week 2010!

Obviously this has absolutely on bearing on the design industry per se but we couldn’t let the occasion go unmarked. After all, pie, mash n’gravy is surely the stable part of most creatives’ diet, no?

Personally I’ve always been rather partial to the veggie delights that Square Pie has to offer at Spitalfields Market but since my East End days are somewhat behind me now (sadly), I have had to seek pastures new… my pal, Carla from Scooter & Jinx introduced me to the veritable pie-lights of Pieminister, upon a recent trip down to Here Gallery, Bristol for Chris Bettig and Lizzie Stewart’s “Land & Sky” show.

Turns out the artist managed to survive on pies alone during his whirlwind stay of Bristol. I joke not. Read his blog or twitter stream if you don’t believe me.

Anyways this one goes out to you CB, British pies are probably hard to come by in LA but we’ll be sure sure to scoff plenty this week on your behalf! And remember kids, this is sound advice: You Must Always Blow on the Pie!
