Mesdames Green & Graham
Custom WordPress Theme Design & Development
Custom WordPress blog theme for Downing Street fine caterers and event management company, Mesdames Green & Graham. Fine dining with a side order of industry savoir faire.
We are fortunate enough to design and build websites for clients dotted all over the globe but sometimes it’s really nice to create something for local business.
Juliet Graham and Debbie Green have an incredible “foodie” repertoire to their names and an impressive client list to boot, featuring the likes of The Earl of Bessborough, The Cabinet Office and Downing Street to name but a few.
Mesdames Green & Graham is the perfect example of the adaptability of WordPress as a web platform, not just a blogging one. Working 24/7 around the country at all manner of events, day and night, leaves the ladies very little time and additional admin on top of a hectic day is pretty much the last thing they want – or need.
WordPress is easy to adapt to become an all encompassing, compact business website and blog in one. In this particular case, the “Savoir Faire” blog is auxillary; the sample menus and the enquiry form being the most important aspect of their online presence to effectively serve (pardon the pun) the business.
Design and build of WordPress sites are a cost effective and speedy alternative to cms websites as well as being easy to manage and intuitive for clients with hectic lives.
Custom Blog Features
The custom theme needed to be fairly minimalist making the food photography and menus the main feature whilst retaining the corporate identity of the company. We built a custom enquiry form making it easy for users to make contact and likewise easy for Debbie to get a good understanding of the job requirements and expediting the entire quoting process.
Sample menus operate on custom module, enabling swift updates in line with the seasonal ingredients and events.
Food Photography
All imagery used on the website was shot on location at Farbridge, West Dean, by our lovely photographer, Julia Toms. The Neon Hive is responsible for art direction and post production. All food freshly prepared and served up by Mesdames Green & Graham for the purpose of the shoot – much to our delight, though Juliet’s rustic steak platter nearly saw the demise of 20 years of vegetarianism!
