The Art of Joel Fletcher
Yesterday’s thoughts of Edward Gorey have turned today’s thoughts to Tim Burton… Back in the 90’s Joel Fletcher worked as an animator at Skellington Productions for Tim Burton’s motion fantasy film, The Nightmare Before Christmas. Using his Nikon stereo rig on Kodachrome slide film, he photographed the amazing setups in 3D stereo. The stereo pairs were digitally scanned and converted to anaglyph format. These anaglyph photos require either red/blue or red/cyan 3-D glasses to see the stereoscopic effect. Read more…
